Steve Cooley BDS DPDS

The team is led by experienced general dental practitioner Steve Cooley BDS DPDS. Steve qualified from the Charles Clifford Dental School, Sheffield University in 1987. He obtained the degree of Bachelor of Dental Surgery, and additionally the final year awards in Restorative Dentistry, Periodontology and Oral Surgery. In 1997, Steve completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Child Dental Health and Restorative Dental Care at Bristol University. Steve keeps up to date by attending educational courses and seminars. He is a member of the British Dental Association and is registered with the General Dental Council – Number 62749

Simon Moore B.D.S., M.Sc., F.D.S.R.C.S. (Ed.), M.Surg.Dent.R.C.S. (Eng.), M.SND.R.C.S.(Ed.)

Simon qualified from Guy’s Hospital, University of London in 1987. He completed his postgraduate surgical training and obtained his accreditation as a Specialist Oral Surgeon in 1999. He currently works as part of a team of highly skilled oral surgeons at Stoke Mandeville Hospital and also provides oral surgery services at Waddesdon Dental.

Simon is the Regional Advisor for the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and a member of the British Association of Oral Surgeons. He is registered with the General Dental Council – Number 62955

Malcolm Riley BDS (Lon), LDS RCS(Lon), FDS RCS(Lon), MRD(Ed), FDS RCS(Ed)

Malcolm qualified from Kings College Hospital Dental School, London in 1970. After a period of hospital training he specialised in Periodontology and implantology, gaining qualifications both in the UK and America.

Along side his clinical commitments, Malcolm lectures at the prestigious Eastman Dental Institute and also teaches at seminars for the leading implant company Straumann.

Dr Etienne Deysel MBChB (Pret) PDD.SED (Stel)

Etienne gained his MBChB from the University of Pretoria South Africa, in 1989 and spent ten years in general practice. He was involved with two anaesthetic day clinics and two private A&E Units whilst in South Africa.

Since qualifying, further training includes Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Paediatric Advanced Life Support, Advanced Trauma Life Support and Immediate Life Support.

In 2003 Etienne was awared the PDD.SED (Post Graduate Qualification on Sedation and Pain Control) from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa.

He is registered with the GMC (registration number 4562333) and South African Health Professions Council. He is a member of the Society of Concious Sedationists UK and the Society for the Advancement of Analgesia in Dentistry.

Dr Akit Patel BDS MFDS RCS MClin Dent(Pros) MRD RCS

GDC Number: 81165

Akit is a certificated specialist in Prosthodontics by the General Dental Council and is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and the International Team for Implantology. He will be accepting referrals at either our Milton Keynes or our Waddesdon practice.

He was awarded the Membership to the Faculty of Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2004 and then attended the Prosthodontics specialist programme at UCL (University College London) Eastman Dental Institute for four years. Akit completed this in 2009, receiving a Masters Degree in Clinical Dentistry in Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics with distinction and the UCL Dental School.

Debbie

Debbie is an experienced dental hygienist and has worked both with general hygiene patients and specialist periodontal and implant care.

Dental hygiene is paramount in preventing both dental decay and gum problems, and patients will find Debbie's approach friendly, thorough and reassuring.

Emma

Emma is long standing member of staff who puts patients at ease before and after their treatment. She is currently studying towards her qualification in dental nursing.

Jenna

Jenna has recently joined the practice. She is currently studying towards her qualification in dental nursing.

Emma Smith

Emma Smith has recently joined the practice.

Lisa

Lisa has recently joined the practice as a receptionist.
